Why Now?

Welcome fellow traveler.

The past 5 years have brought a lot of transition and change for me. First I took a position in corporate America supporting a brilliant female CEO and her executive team.  Then, early in the pandemic, I provided refuge for my young family from Brooklyn at my country home. A year later I midwifed my mother to a good death.  I thought I was done with clinical work.

Global polarization continues to escalate in ways that frighten me.  I spent my whole career building bridges, helping people grow their capacities to manage conflict by tolerating discomfort in order to be their best selves. These critical times on earth are calling me back to serve.

The best way to seek relief is learning how to turn toward your loved ones for refuge. Relationships that are fair, just, mutual and sensitive yield relaxation and the capacity to be curious and seek similarities rather than differences and danger in the larger community.

I am committed to helping folks grow relationships that are embodied and co-regulatory. This means living with an open heart and a soft face, in connection to your neighbor, to your family, to your person, and to your children. We can hold each other’s hands as we are facing a crisis.  We can walk each other home.

The work I’m called to do now is building bridges between folks in their most intimate, vulnerable (therefore frightening) spaces; folks who are seriously committed to building bridges for others.
