Sex & Death: Sacred Doors
My fee is $430 for 60 minutes.
I cherish talking with folks about sex and death. It is the most important work I do now after 30 years as a psychologist.
Michael Mead poignantly said, “the role of a fully realized human being is to arrive at the door of death having become oneself.”
I believe this is true of sex as well.
Sex and death are both about intimate connection, and both are doorways to our deepest vulnerabilities and authentic selves. Avoiding conversations about sex and death can take a tremendous toll on our health and well-being.
I will help you transform the way you approach sex and/or death such that they become an opportunity, a joyful and significant process that allows you to honor yourself and your loved ones. As you learn to openly share your thoughts and feelings, you will move through fear, shed inhibitions, and gain a deeper understanding of those most important to you.
What to expect:
- We will meet for a 4-hour initial intensive session. We will then collaborate and design your next steps to move your relationship agenda forward.
- For couples seeking a more intensive experience, a Ripening Retreat may be an opportunity worth exploring.
Professional Development for Clinicians
Being a therapist is exceptionally rewarding work if you have enough support to learn the intricacies of maintaining a successful private practice. Together, through individual or group consultation sessions, I will support you to work through the gritty details so you can move from overwhelmed to empowered and deliver high quality service to your clientele.
Individual Consultations:
My fee is $430 for 60 minutes. We will meet either online or in person.
Group Consultations
Includes:
- 2 Individual/ 1-hour consultations.
- Group containers are typically 10 months long and clinicians meet together once per month for a 2-hour session.
Next groups start April 2023:
- Ripening Sensuality Consultation Group: join this group if you are interested in doing sex therapy utilizing PACT, differentiation, embodiment practices and tantra.
- General Consultation Group: join this group if you are ready to take your private practice to the next level and receive support from a master clinician. Together we will strategize case construction around topics like (but are not limited to): depression, anxiety, sleep disturbance, and relationship issues. I will support you in working through the gritty details so you can move from overwhelmed to empowered, delivering high-quality service to your clientele.
